
About
Born in Italy, Chiara Braggion began singing at a very young age and received her early musical training in her hometown, Rovigo performing with various musical institutions.
Initially more inclined towards contemporary music, she completed her degree in Commercial Music at Bath Spa University and later on performed as a pop singer, songwriter and music producer.
She began her training as a baroque and classical singer in 2019 at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, where she completed her MA in Vocal Performance, graduating with distinction.
She is currently furthering her vocal and musical studies with Professor Sherman Lowe,
pianist Sabina Arru and Mezzosoprano Vivica Genaux, specialising in the historically informed performance of the baroque repertoire, her main area of interest.

First prize winner of the 2023 International Sacred Music Competition of San Colombano, she was also awarded a scholarship from the Johann Adolph Hasse Gesellschaft München in 2024 and the third prize at the International Baroque Singing Competition Caffarelli in 2025.
In the same year, she was also finalist at the International Baroque Singing Competition Giovanni Legrenzi and semifinalist at the 28ème Concours International de chant de Clermont-Ferrand, Chiara recently has also won a scholarship that allowed her to part in the Vivaldi Academy organised by the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice and has attended masterclasses with Andreas Scholl, Emma Kirkby, Sara Mingardo, Nicola Beller Carbone and the ensemble of Les arts Florissants in Thiré.
Chiara regularly performs as a soloist with various baroque ensembles throughout Europe.
Her engagements in 2026 to date include Mozart’s Exsultate, jubilate with the Bristol Ensemble under the direction of James Duddle; her debut as Vagaus in Vivaldi’s Juditha triumphans with the Cimento Armonico ensemble; and performances at the Kubiz Theater in Munich with Accademia di Monaco, under the baton of Joachim Tschiedel, in Handel’s Aminta e Fillide and Silete venti.
She also returned to the Musicae Sacrae Festival in Trani to perform Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with the Orchestra Filarmonica del Mediterraneo under the direction of Giuseppe Monopoli, following her 2025 appearance at the same festival in Boccherini’s Stabat Mater.
In 2025, she rejoined the Orchestre de Lutetia for a summer tour in France with programmes dedicated to Bach and Vivaldi, and appeared as a guest soloist with the Bristol Ensemble at St George’s Bristol, performing Bach’s Cantata BWV 51 alongside arias by Handel.
Her collaboration with the Orchestre de Lutetia began in 2024, when she toured France under the direction of Alejandro Sandler, presenting a wide-ranging repertoire spanning Baroque and contemporary works. In 2023, she performed in Bach’s Mass in B minor under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann as part of the Bachwoche Stuttgart.
Other concert appearances have taken her to venues such as the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, the Royal Festival Hall in London, the O2 Brixton Academy, and BBC Radio London.
Alongside her solo work, she has extensive choral experience, having performed Bach’s B minor Mass, Missa brevis G-Dur, and Magnificat D-Dur as well as Jan Dismas Zelenka’s Missa Dei Filii, Magnificat D-Dur and Magnificat C-Dur, in Stuttgart under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann and Kathy Saltzman Romey.


In the operatic repertoire, Chiara has performed various roles on stage. The roles she debuted include the title role Semele ("Semele", Händel), Morgana ("Alcina", Händel), Angelo ("La Resurrezione", Händel), Lola ("Cavalleria Rusticana", Mascagni), Despina ("Così fan tutte", Mozart), Susanna ("Le nozze di Figaro", Mozart), La goutte d’eau ("Le Colibrì", G. Di Giusto) and Ensoleilad ("Chérubin", Massenet).
In addition to her musical talents, Chiara is also a linguist.
